Prim Raggedy Anne Dolls

I love this pair of li'l Raggedy Anne dolls ~ I bought them several years ago from someone on eBay (sorry, I don't remember who). I just moved them to my "special" antique chair to be on display in my dining room.

A Couple Valentine's ~ Vintage Altered Art

Two more I made up today during Jacob's nap :) I thought they looked okay together, so put them in a frame . . though am going to look for different frames when I get to town next.

** Late Night Fun **

I really wish I could find a better way to get these to show up more accurately. I've tried scanning and now taking photos and still neither is really capturing how they really look. But anyway here's some of the altered vintage photos I've been working with lately :) (I guess they look best via photo if you click on the first photo of the group of them all together to enlarge).

I should have time to do more again tomorrow, as my baby boy is sick :( Poor little guy has caught a terrible flu bug that's going around daycare and doesn't feel well at all, so I'll be home with him all day and can "play" with my altered art when he sleeps.

I better get to sleep myself, before he wakes me again. Good Night everyone :)

Beautiful Giveaway!

My friend Renae is having a beautiful giveaway! Please take a peek at her wonderful blog ~ her blog is one of my favorite blogs to frequent! http://mylittleraggedyblessings.blogspot.com/2009/01/giveaway.html

*~Friendship~*

True friendship comes when silence between two people is comfortable. ~ Dave Tyson Gentry

Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you. ~ Elbert Hubbard

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat...We must find each other. ~ Mother Teresa

Moonlight Suns This Silent Night
Close your eyes don't mind the night

As you sleep come watch the light

Dance silently to those unheard songs

Welcome to where your heart belongs

Moonlight suns this silent night

Sing your heart 'til goes it light

Lie down the grass and watch the stars

I'm right here,

I'm never far

Gentle breeze they kiss your cheek

Rest now you tired and weak

Breathe in deep let go that smile

Tomorrow go another mile

Freezing Cold Weather - My Goodness!

Brrrr . . . my goodness is it ever COLD outside . . FRIGID COLD! I had -23 below zero this morning on my drive in to work. Yes, I had to venture out regardless of the outside temperature (I work at a hospital, so the doors are open 24/7/365). Not only is it that cold, we also have wind, with windchills reaching -40 to -50 below zero! I literally ran from the parking lot to my work entrance this morning to get inside to the warmth.

Needless to say, I took this photo of Abbie and Jacob sledding a few weeks ago when the temps. were quite a bit warmer!

All the area schools (actually most in the state) are closed today. Mike works construction and the project his company is working on is still exterior work, so he's off spending the day at home with the kids. (I'm secretly hoping they're driving him nuts, but I know ~ shame on me for thinking such)!

I love the winter scenery, but I really do not like this frigid cold!! Hope everyone is staying warm! :)
