Shutters Brought to Life

I still want to prim these up a bit by sanding, but thought I'd share a picture of the shutters I decorated over the weekend. I found a set of unfinished shutters at a garage sale for $1 this past summer. So finally I got around to painting (they're actually a dark burgandy rather than black as they appear in the pic) and decorated with the pine cone/pipberry sprig. I might add a li'l something more to them yet.

I've been so very behind in my blog visiting but what a treat to come by and see all of you lovely posts. Your primitives are just delicious. I would be broke before you even set up shop - I'd take one of each! And your collage work - always so lovely.

Thank you for the mention in an earlier post. What an honor to be highlighted! Your words are very kind and I'm so glad you got everything and like them.

I'm off to do some more catching up!
