Sweet Vintage Spring Images

This week the weather has been somewhat dreary, raining on and off all day and night. It's not helping with my feeling so tired, but thankfully, the good news is Jacob is FINALLY sleeping through the night. *knock on wood* He's almost 21 months old and hasn't slept through a full night up until the past few nights. Hallelujah! Perhaps I can start to feel refreshed in the morning soon!!

More Vintage Little Girl Photo Images

I just love these images! Played with them and did a bit of touch-up.

Last night Mike and I were talking a bit about spending $ on unecessary things. Can you believe he had the gall to tell me, "when you die we'll have a house full of useless junk that we can toss in a pile and have a big bonfire." OMG did he ever get an earfull after telling me that! First of all is the "when you die" comment - what on earth was he thinking . . saying things like that are likely to find his life coming to an end much sooner, don't ya think? (Only kidding, but my word.) And, then too, "useless junk to make a bonfire with". Oh boy, don't ever tell me my collections are useless junk!!! I LOVE my collections of prims and antiques. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! I told him, should I "HAPPEN" to die before him, that he had "BETTER NOT" have a bonfire with my things . . it's all something someone would want, and most are somewhat costly handmades from some of the best prim artists there are. Sure, he might have to seek the right place to "get rid" of these things, but there are sure to be people who would cherish such things as much as I do. Gosh, to even think about someone making a bonfire out of my wonderful collections makes me want to cry. What on earth is he thinking?!? Men.

Spring is Near

Abbie, Jacob, and I spent some time outside the past couple of nights, as the weather has been very nice! As you can see, we still have snow, but it's nearly gone most everywhere other than in a great portion of our yard (we are surrounded by woods so the sun doesn't hit in most areas of our yard). So Abbie was in her flip flops though I didn't necessarily approve of that, but yet she did - the temps. yesterday were close to 70 degrees. There are actually people still ice fishing and several were out driving on the lake yet this weekend, but that's about to end I'm sure. I'm hoping to take a nice long walk tonight, though Jacob will try to get me to take him for a 4-wheeler ride again I'm sure - he LOVES riding on that.

I best get back to work. I just felt like taking a short break to blog a bit here and share a couple of photos I took two nights ago. Hope everyone's enjoying the day.

Robin Made My Day! Thank You!!

My friend Robin surprised me with a sweet handmade card in the mail! How wonderful ~ she really made my day!! Soooo sweet! If you have a chance, please take a peek at her wonderful websites - she creates awesome prims, purses, handcrafted cards, and the best silicone dipped bulbs.

New ATC's & Altered Paint Chip

I found a bit of time after tucking the kids into bed the last few nights to create some more altered art! I sooooo enjoy this and wish I could "play" all day with paper, paints, colored pencils, glitter, glue and all the other fun things I use in my whimsical vintage creations. If only I could get my photos to capture the true colors . . but at least you get a good idea of what they look like here.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May you always have work for your hands to do. May your pockets hold always a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. ~ Irish Blessing

I have one more sweet purchase to share soon . . but then I need to stop myself from buying for a bit. I allowed myself a spend a bit out of my tax return on a few things that make me happy, and I am certainly happy with my purchases. :) DH has been laid off work though now for a few weeks ~ he works for a large construction firm ~ and with work being slow everywhere, he could be off for an undetermined amount of time, so we're having to keep a tight budget. It was hard to make ends meet with him working full time and now to have to get by with less is going to catch up to us soon. He is talking with his brother who also works for the same company and is anticipating being laid off as well soon, and with his father, about the possibility of starting their own lawn and yard care business, which may be a good idea for the summer at least. They have a connection with someone who has such a business in the area and can't keep up, and this person would recommend them to those customers he has that he can't keep up with. So it sounds promising . . time will tell.

I'm looking forward to the weekend as I really want to concentrate on getting some new goodies made up and finally getting my giveaway posted. :) Have a great Friday the 13th everyone!!
