Halloween ATC

Here's the "Spooky" ATC I put together this past weekend. It's a cool, rainy day . . . sure would have been nice to have been able to sleep in this morning, but alas, work calls my name Monday through Friday (and Jacob calls my name bright and early every Saturday and Sunday, so there's no "sleeping in" for this mamma). Altered Bingo Card

Tonight is THE big game! Yes, being a "Wisconsinite" I'm a Packer fan . . though even with all the hoopla in Brett Favre's retirement/non-retirement and going to first the Jets and now the Vikings, I'm still (secretly - shhhh . . I didn't say this . . lol) a Favre fan too. I have a feeling that the Vikings may win, but I have to root for my Pack! I'm going to either make homemade pizza tonight or may pick up a couple of pizza's from Pizza Hut on my way home from work. Have a wonderful day everyone :)

I Adore Marsha's Creations ~ Tumble Fish Studio!

I was a lucky blog winner!! I won a drawing Marsha of http://tumblefishstudio.blogspot.com/ held recently for her blogoversary! Marsha is sooooo very talented ~ I truly adore her work beyond words. I received a limited edition print of her "Pandora's Keeper" piece, shown in the upper right. The other three pieces she sent were postcard prints of some of her wonderful works! I love it all!!!

Altered Art Swap!

She does amazing work. :)

As has been the case for me lately, I'm still lacking energy; therefore, the reason I haven't been posting too frequently as of late. I had a bit of a scare in the middle of the night and due to it had an ultrasound this morning, but all is well :) The baby is growing, active, and has a good heartbeat.

A Few Things

Here is a sample of a batch of prim/vintage style hang tags I made up recently (I made several), another altered vintage bingo card, and I framed a couple of my ATC's. I've been looking high and low for decent frames to fit ATC's appropriately, but am not having luck. What do you think of these? (I know the pictures with photo flash aren't the greatest ~ I should have taken outside to take the photos). Does anyone have a source for ATC sized frames ~ if so, please let me know where to look. Thanks! :)

Last night I tried to relax a bit and sat back to watch a movie, as I've been a bit emotional lately . . . but my goodness, the movie we watched was a real tear-jerker! I recommend watching it, but only when you're prepared to cry . . . it is Seven Pounds with Will Smith. So touching.

Altered Vintage Bingo Cards

Here are a couple of vintage bingo cards I altered today. I don't like how the left eye is showing up in the photo of the little boy with his sheep here, but it looks better in person.

I'm off to "relax" in a dental chair most of the afternoon, for my 4th oral surgery. Oh joy. Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Mind Wide Open Challenge

This is my entry for the April Challenge at Mind Wide Open. Everyone participating must use the same digital print in their artwork though there are many creative interpretations and varying mediums used.

I used the image to create this shadow box, embellished with paper piecing I did with paper butterflies, flowers, a metal bee, another sweet vintage image, floral pieces, colored chalk, paint, and various glitters which aren't showing up the best in the photos.

~ More ACEO's and Altered Paint Chips ~

I spent the afternoon "playing" a bit today while the kids are having fun with Mike outside enjoying this nice weather.

New ATC's & Altered Paint Chip

I found a bit of time after tucking the kids into bed the last few nights to create some more altered art! I sooooo enjoy this and wish I could "play" all day with paper, paints, colored pencils, glitter, glue and all the other fun things I use in my whimsical vintage creations. If only I could get my photos to capture the true colors . . but at least you get a good idea of what they look like here.

A Few Things I Made Today

I ended up with less time than I thought to work on my crafts this weekend. And, I barely found time to post here quickly, but wanted to say I haven't forgotten about the giveaway I had said I would post this weekend. I just have ran out of time (must be the time change . . . I'll blame it on that anyway). . . and still want to get everything together for it. Actually, I had three of my nieces spend the night and were here all day as well so it was a full, busy house. So check back later this week and my giveaway will be posted soon.
