Bath Time, the Ol' Ford, a Runaway, & Our Veggie Garden

Bubbles at bath time! Jacob's almost 2 . . He's 23 months now!
Abbie posing with her dad's Antique Ford that is in pristine condition. I'm trying to convince her to let me get her bangs cut, but she wants to let them grow out . . yet she won't always keep a barrette in and it drives me nuts, but oh who am I to tell my 7-year old know it all daughter? I'm just her mom, come on . . she's got to be "cool" and all now. LOL, I swear she acts like she's 13 at least already.
And here are Mike and Jacob busy removing stumps from land Mike cleared to increase the size of our garden. Jacob loves being on anything noisy that moves . . he was safe, with a seat belt strapped around him. Mike was very busy, as he cut down and removed close to 30 trees!
And here's a shot of just a portion of our now much bigger, newly planted veggie garden. Just wait to see it later in the season! The plants will be huge.
Uh-oh! We have a run away! LOL. Jacob ran off out of the house. He can get out on his own even if the door is locked, so we have to watch closely as he LOVES to get outside all the time.
And here he is once Mommy caught up with him still in his pajamas with a dirt streak on his forehead . . lol. Sitting on one of Abbie's li'l old bike's, but he still is too little and can't reach the pedals, so will sit on and can barely reach to the ground to stand on his tiptoes and push it along. :)

Christmas Photos

The kids got up super early this year - lol - Taylor woke up at midnight and Abbie was up at 1 a.m. and found that Santa had already made it to our house! They each have a little Christmas tree in their bedroom and are allowed to open the gifts Santa leaves in the rooms, so they were up playing with those gifts until they felt it was "safe" to wake us to see if they could open the rest of their presents under the big family tree. We all were awake by 5 a.m., but that was fine with me, as it was Christmas, and I wanted to allow the kids some time to play with their things before we got ready and left for my parents, who we spent the rest of the day with, along with my brothers and sisters and their kids.

Here's Abbie Christmas morning with her new twin Bratz dolls.

Jacob with his mouth a mess from a little chocolate and his favorite new toy - a realistic little vacuum cleaner! LOL. He loves it every time I vacuum and cries when I turn it off, so now he has his own to turn on and clean with! He REALLY LOVES IT!! It even actully sucks up a bit of dirt! LOL (That's his daddy, Mike, in the background).

Jacob & Daddy

The other day Michael was outside mowing the lawn. Jacob LOVES being outside and loves going for rides on the 4-wheeler or anything with wheels, and knowing his Daddy was outdoors, he kept peering out the window and whimpering that he wanted to go back out. He had just been brought inside a few minutes earlier as he had fallen asleep while riding with Daddy on the mower, but of course brightened back up the second he was brought in. He put in a good amount of time helping Daddy - his hair is frazzled and his face filled with dirt from all the "hard work". I know he should get a haircut soon, as after this he looked like "Einstein" when he came back inside, but I can't bear to cut his hair quite yet.

My Family - Outdoors

The summer flew by so quickly this year, but we did find the time to get outdoors and go camping a few times with family and friends. Here are a few pictures of me and my family taken within the past month.
