Just a Couple of Weeks Ago . . we Had a Ton of Snow . . .

.... and Jacob loves getting outside to play in it! Wisconsin has quite the variety of weather throughout the seasons. Sometimes you just never know what to expect. We had record low temperatures about a month ago hitting temps. close to -40 below zero and then yesterday had a record high for this time of year, in the mid-50's, making it seem like a nice spring day (had it not been for the wind - the wind about blew ya over)! Needless to say, most of the snow other than shady areas and where snow piled had been, is now melted (and we had a lot of it this winter with a couple of feet on the ground just a couple of days ago). We now have mud puddles in our long driveway. If it's going to be cold, and the temps. are slowly dropping again, I like to have snow on the ground so things don't look quite so drab. If it's going to be warm . . . then I want spring to get here so things start to green up!

Snow Fun

I took these photos on my drive into work last week, overlooking the frozen lake.

We had quite a bit of fluffy snow last week. Jacob loves being outside, but this was really the first time he's been out to play in the snow . . and as you can see, he didn't like it very much after just a few minutes. Awwww.

Vintage Winter Snow Freebies

This past weekend we had our first snowfall that actually accumulated a bit with some remaining on the ground . . and 3-5" is predicted for tomorrow. So, I thought I'd share a few vintage winter snow scenes :)
