Sweet Vintage Children Photos

Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted!! I have been very busy between work and getting ready for the baby to arrive, and have been so tired that I haven't turned on my computer at night or most weekends after the long work week. Guess I've been slacking here!

Anyways, all is well. The baby should arrive any day . . who knows when he'll decide to make his appearance into the world. He seems to be content moving around in my belly for now as I cherish the last few days of pregnancy. I love the feeling of a li'l one moving around in there, other than the occassional aches and pains that go along with (and the horrid heartburn, but at least the antacid I'm allowed to take helps with that for the most part).

Hope everyone is doing well. I hope to visit a few blogs this weekend. I've really been missing out!!

Winter Children Images

I've been quite busy as of late, as I'm sure most everyone is, afterall, tis the season. :)

One of the issues we've been dealing with is a depressed little girl. I pray she somehow snaps out of this and her mood improves soon, as this has been an issue since at least the start of this school year and is now evidently serious depression as it's increased daily to the point of her crying nearly all day and night, not wanting to go to school (daily), believing she is sick every day - headache, muscle/joint pains, upset stomach, crying to the point of throwing up phlym every morning, etc. I took her to the doctor a couple weeks ago and there is nothing medically wrong and they discourage medication for such in children, so counseling is the route we are trying. I have her talking with a school counselor/psychologist and she also speaks with the school principal whenever she feels the need, and I'm doing everything I know of to try to help her, but it's so difficult - hard for the entire family. I'll be talking with a child psychologist this upcoming week to see if there is something different I could do to try to alleviate her problem and start to feel better. If only it were as easy as flipping a switch. I do know however, that putting up the tree and letting her do most of the decorating last night helped her mood at least temporarily. She's also excited that she gets to help me tomorrow - just her and I - at the next craft show I have. Hopefully she has a good day with me and we make lots of good sales, as whatever I make from these upcoming shows is going towards the kids Christmas presents.
During the past two days we have started getting some snow flurries, so it's beginning to look and feel a bit more like Christmas. I hope we have at least a few inches of snow to cover the ground by Christmas, as right now it's a slight scattering that's actually stuck to the ground. Jacob is at the age this year that he is taking in all the holiday and seasonal sights and loves it! He wants to eat the snow, loves all the Christmas lights and was intrigued when I brought the fresh cut tree into the house the other night. Such a fun age - I know he's going to have fun Christmas morning this year! :) Hopefully Santa can find that train that he knows will make him oh soo happy! (Santa's got to get shopping, and hopefully will be doing so next weekend).
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Because there were more than 25 signed up for my Black Friday giveaway, there were two winners in my surprise giveaway drawing. Congratulations to NeeNee of KKL Primitives and Dorreen, Aunt 'Reen ~ you both "caught" a prize!! As soon as I receive your addys, your surprises will be in the mail :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Christmas is right around the corner and I have barely done any shopping yet! Hopefully I can get to that in a couple weeks after a couple of craft shows I have this weekend and the middle of next week.

Altered Vintage Halloween Images

I was playing on my computer a bit, as I often like to do with vintage photos, and came up with these altered images embellished with Halloween clipart. Enjoy!

Altered Bingo Card

I was busy yesterday and got quite a bit accomplished. Today I'll share with you the altered vintage bingo card I made. I have this listed for sale in my selling blog too: http://prim-primitives.blogspot.com/ in case anyone is interested. :)

Tonight is THE big game! Yes, being a "Wisconsinite" I'm a Packer fan . . though even with all the hoopla in Brett Favre's retirement/non-retirement and going to first the Jets and now the Vikings, I'm still (secretly - shhhh . . I didn't say this . . lol) a Favre fan too. I have a feeling that the Vikings may win, but I have to root for my Pack! I'm going to either make homemade pizza tonight or may pick up a couple of pizza's from Pizza Hut on my way home from work. Have a wonderful day everyone :)

Deer

Nothing new for me to talk about really. Due to the pregnancy I have been extra tired and a bit nauseous, and between work and housework upon arriving home I haven't found time to work on any new projects. I've been feeling lazy so to say, but I really am doing a lot, just not as much as I'm accustomed to doing. We're planning to go camping this weekend with family and friends. Hopefully it's more relaxing than feeling like it's work as it seemed to be more than it should the last time we went. And, hopefully, it doesn't rain as is forecast for Saturday!

Tinted Sweet Vintage Children

It's unseasonably cold here in Wisconsin, with temps. today not even yet reaching 60! So unusual mid summer! I hope this weather changes for the warmer - much warmer - soon so we can make more use of our outdoor pool.
I rented a movie to settle down and watch later on tonight after Jacob is tucked into bed. The girls will enjoy it with me as it's a "scary" new release. I love realistic scary movies.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)

Happy Independance Day Weekend!

Happy 4th of July (almost)!! We have a few things planned for the weekend, including a get together at my aunt & uncle's lakeside home on Saturday afternoon, then visting with relatives camping nearby and watching a lighted boat show on the lake from the beach. Mike and the kids plan to camp with them - I however plan to visit for awhile but then return home that night to sleep so I can spend some time to myself the following day to work on some artwork. Hopefully my plan works . . time will tell. LOL. If I end up bringing Jacob home with me I will not be able to do as I wish as it's impossible to work on artwork when I'm home alone with my baby boy. He wants momma's full attention to play with him.

Tonight I am thinking of going to to visit my parents on the farm. Jacob loves going there to see the cows, tractors, and all the other sights. I may take some food to cookout on the grill and surprise my parents with supper too.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I know it's only Thursday, but with tomorrow being a holiday day off from work, it's now the start of my holiday weekend!!!

*I Wish You Happiness*

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy. Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Brother Sister

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I have been busy with work during the day and my children and housework during the evenings, but have been getting outside after work most evenings to enjoy good brisk long walks. I love getting outside when the weather is nice, and I need it after working in front of a computer most of the day! Enjoy the images. :)

A Few Sweet Vintage Children Images

Have fun! I LOVE the first image especially, though love them all and can't wait to create some new altered art pieces with these images.

The week has been busy again, as are most. I'm finding it harder and harder to find time to work on my altered art with work, the kids, and now tending to my garden and also trying to get in some exercise. There's never ending housework with lots of that to do tonight as we've had after school activities the past three nights in a row. Hope everyone's enjoying their day :)

Some Oldies I've Made

Here are a few things I made over the years. The two tag pictures I backed with vintage cutter quilts before framing. For the prim heart, I used wood from my great grandfather's old barn ~ the barn is well over 150 years old and has now fallen down.
Have a wonderful day! I'm off with my sister to surprise my mom and clean her house without notice :)

Freebie Standing Little Girl Images - Would Be Sweet Altered Fairies

I believe these vintage images of standing little girls would be sweet altered into fairies. What do you think? I might have to give it a try myself. If you decide to do so, and would like to share what you come up with, I'd gladly post a photo of your creation on my blog along with a link to your blog and/or site.

ATC's & Altered Vintage Bingo Cards

I found time to work on a few more today! :) The second ATC is out of focus, but anyways, you get the idea.
