William Bouguereau Paintings

I LOVE the works of William Bouguereau! I studied art history for a bit in college (back in the day), but for whatever reason this artist was not one I recall being spoke of. What a shame.

I oftentimes wish I had continued with my art history and art major. Instead, because I was afraid of not finding employment in that field, I ventured off into the medical field a bit, though was still undecisive. I now work in a hospital as a Secretary. I do enjoy my job, but dream of the day I can spend day in and day out creating art. Someday my dream will come.

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend!

Have you ever read "The Artist's Way"? It's a wonderful book on how to reach your dream of being an artist. There are all sorts of ideas and activities that help. I read it back some years and ended up fulfilling a dream of mine. I highly recommend this book. Give it a try and have a wonderful weekend!

I love the artist you have presented here! So beautiful!

Well, I started college with a career in the med field and after one semester of college chem and German, I was outta there! So changed my major to studio art and guess what, there wasn't too much to do with it unless you wanted to teach (nopie) or work in advertising. I just got married after college! So you and I are at the same "place" just got here on different roads! :)

I love his art--I have two framed prints of his hanging in my formal dining room--the color and detail in his paintings are remarkable--my favorite of his is the one of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus with the angels; it almost looks as though you could jump into the picture . . .
